Well, not puppies. I got out and about with these two gorgeous Yorkshire Terriers at the weekend for a pawsome portrait session!
The first one was in a little wooded area, and I had Penny & Sunny stand on a fallen log. Their owner, Chelsea, held treats to keep their attention so they didn't quite look at me.
We moved to a field that was recently harvested and had haybales, and places the two dogs onto one of them. We were very careful to not trample the field and not let the dogs make a mess etc. The backdrop was lovely countryside that I just had to include! Chelsea held their attention again and got behind me so they were facing the camera more this time.
On the way back, we found some long grass to stand them in. I tried getting them walking but they wouldn't wait or walked too fast. Never work with children or animals haha! We went for some cute sitting portraits instead.
By this point both Sunny & Penny were tired out! They walked rather slowly home with us, but I got another couple of pictures out of them.
Overall I had a great time capturing the pair of them, and it's really helped me improve my editing skills using Photoshop and Camera Raw
For comparison, here's a the SOOC and the edit of the haybale shot in a slider:
