Detail shots are those that your wedding photographer takes of your rings, flowers, decorations, cake, favours, and anything else you have.
To me these photos are important because they are the culmination of all the planning, all the decisions, and all the hard work the bride and groom put into creating their dream wedding.
Those red roses in the bouquet? They were chosen because that was the first flower he ever gave her. The teardrop necklace and earrings? They symbolises the hard times they have been through together. The custom shoelaces? That shows their fun natures shining through the formalities. To the bride and groom, these things are not just things. And I adore capturing each piece of the day for them to savour forever.
